The Cotswold Gardening School
We are an independent design school set within the grounds of historic Gossington Hall offering a range of garden and planting courses including one year professional design diplomas, ten week professional diplomas and day courses.
Caroline Tatham, the Principal and lead tutor is an experienced and practicing garden designer as well as a qualified lecturer. The school has built strong links with the garden design industry and our students have built gold medal winning gardens whilst studying with us.
Caroline includes lots of real examples from her busy design practice and case studies to help you understand how to work with clients and establish a successful business.
Our longer courses involve you studying with us for one day per week and completing all of the practical course work at home with group and private tutorials the following week. This allows you to fit the design work around your busy schedule.
Our One Year Professional Garden Design Diploma is supported by Bridgwater College who act as our external assessor and ensure the highest standards and we are always looking for local gardens to use as live design projects for this course offering a free design service to our volunteer clients.
We also offer creative Summer courses covering the basics of effective freehand drawing right through to courses in technical drawing and how to unlock your natural creativity.
Our day courses and ten week diplomas include a delicious lunch and we always have lots of tea and coffee on hand for every course.
Our courses make memorable and original gifts and we also offer gift vouchers and branded presentation cards.
